Testing the app 1

1st testing presentation

1. Evelina
Imagine, you're an Erasmus student. You have visited Tallinn's university for several times, but you still find it hard sometimes to get to places you need. Today for the first time you have accidentally noticed a sign which says that you can use a mobile app here, called Navigating TLU, if you download it and turn on free Wi-fi connection in the university. You downloaded the application and started using it. Your task is to find out where you are exactly and go to Mare building's 512 classroom using the app.
P.S. Please read all notes in the presentation as it is only a medium-fidelity prototype with only the main functions.

Evelina's experience
In some slides I had several button and that was confusing cause I didn't know what to press. Also I wanted to ask if the "you are here and your destination" screen should have appeared like it did?
DEDUCTION: She claimed that buttons were confusing.

2. Virginijus
Imagine that you're a student of Tallinn's University. One day you had a lecture going in the farrest corner of the university. You could hardly find that classrom but you did it. After the lecture you have to rush to the meeting, but you still want to go to the Cafeteria. Locate yourself and find the shortest way to the Cafeteria using the app 'Navigating TLU'.
P.S. Please read all notes in the presentation as it is only a medium-fidelity prototype with only the main functions.

Virginijus' experience
It would be way more interesting to try the app on the actual phone as not I don't know how to use it here, maybe the presentation is poor, that's why. The app itself, I think, is a good thing for the new students, however, I don't think it would be popular as it requires an Inthernet connection. It needs some money and a smartphone. Besides, it is much better to ask for the local students or staff if you can't find the way to your destination.

DEDUCTION: Virgijinus didn't like the presentation (or the method of trying to test with it). Inthernet connection is not a problem as it is free and wireless in Tallinn's university, nevertheless, smartphones can be a problem.

3. Maria
Just try out the app.

Maria's experience
Slide no 5: Home button is confusing.
Slide no 8: What do I have to do next?
Slide no 10: I don't recognize the side bar.
DEDUCTION: We need to change the "Home" button and make some clues of the sequence of actions. Also we need to improve the side bar design.
